Bernard P. Hagan - Real Estate Professional and Philanthropist

Bernard P Hagan

Bernard P. Hagan led a successful career in the real estate industry and maintained an active involvement in real estate projects throughout California’s Bay Area. He launched his career with a position at Westlake Realtors and later accepted a partnership role at Hagan & Doherty Real Estate, which handled the construction and development of condominium projects and apartment complexes. Bernard P. Hagan also served as the president of the Pacific Coast Builders Conference.

Beyond his professional pursuits, he dedicated much of his time to a variety of philanthropic and cultural activities. He received a nomination to the board of directors for the Patron of the Arts of the Vatican Museum from the US Ambassador to the Vatican in 1987 and held a position on the board of directors for the Catholic Charities of San Francisco between 1997 and 2012.

His work in the community earned him multiple commendations, such as an CYO Camp dining hall named in his honor by the Catholic Charities. The University of San Francisco Koret Center also named its Hagan Gymnasium after his family in recognition of their generosity to the school.
